I have had many pizzas from this place and it is very good. The other foods such as chicken parm and pasta are quite good as well. I think there are new owners over the last year and the prices are very reasonable especially compared to a lot of restaurants in this area. Service is nice and fast. Definitely one of my favorites in the area.

The restaurant had a real Italian feel, though we got takeout I thought the calzone with garlic was outstanding. Though my wife didn't care for the buffalo wings that she got, the sauce was too sweet... almost like barbecue sauce.

Restaurant atmosphere is pretty good. Typical small Italian restaurant vibes. I like the food and the price isn't bad at all. Have yet to eat anything there that I didn't like. Service is good, but the food does take a long while so don't ever go if you're in a rush or any kind. Nothing special about this place but definitely nothing bad either. Give it a try!

Taranovas Pizza & Pasta sits in the same commercial strip as the PennDot Service Center, which is how I first noticed it as I waited for a new driver's license. Its dining room is a good size, as is the breadth of the menu, which covers all three daily meals. I stopped in for an early dinner before an evening meeting, and was greeted by a friendly server who also vibed as a possible manager. The broad glass windows face directly west into the setting sun, casting a bronze glow over everything, as beautiful as it was blinding. Even lowering the thin verticals did little to reduce the glare. I ordered the standards - chicken parmagiana, linguini aglio olio and small side salad (balsamic). There was plenty on the plate when I dug in. There were one and a half breasts, lightly breaded and pan fried in olive oil, covered in rich red gravy. It was crisp edged and a real palate pleaser. The pasta was a special request to change from more marinara. While plentiful in a large bowl of its own, the kitchen used pre-minced garlic rather than fresh sliced and sautéed bulb, making it nearly invisible and translucent, rather than the golden browned garlic I love in pasta. A bit of a disappointment. The small salad was fine, but using only one cherry tomato seemed rather retentive. Overall, it was a satisfactory meal that would have scored better had there been a stronger effort on the linguini sauce and more generosity with the salad. Still, the chicken warmed the heart and I walked away with leftovers, so the negatives are muted. 3.5 STARS

Taranova's pizza is a small pizza shop located across from the Neshaminy mall, next to Fritz's bakery, and down the sidewalk from the notorious DMV. We have been coming here for some time now since our beloved Cafe Rivera got booted from the mall, and have more often recently hopping in for a quick lunch. FRESH LARGE salads, pizza (up to 20 inch), pasta and plenty of other goodies to choose from. I haven't yet had anything I was unhappy with. Pricing on par with other places in the area and service is always friendly.

Now open for inside dining! We were the only customers dining in but they were doing a brisk take out and delivery business. Even though the staff was very busy they were still very attentive to us. We started with the onion rings. Hot, fresh and a delicious batter! I had the roast beef panini. Bread was not doughy but hearty enough to keep the tender, homemade roast beef in place. Just enough horseradish sauce to keep it moist and not oozing out of the sides. The fries were well done and crispy just like they should be, seasoned lightly with herbs and parmesan. Husband had the Special pizza; Bacon, peppers, onions. Pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. He loved it! Crust was thin but held the enormous amount of toppings with no trouble. We will be back!
